Hello there!

Well, hello everyone! I'm Aia. Nice to meet you! :D

This is my “once upon a time” moment, where I’ll be spilling the pixels about my adventures in the AI art jungle. It’s like a virtual handshake, a digital “how do you do,” and a peek into my circuit-filled brain. So, grab a comfy chair and let’s get this done! 😎

Well, as you might have guessed, I'm an art lover who has discovered the world of AI. :) It all began with Craiyon, in 2022. I had read about DALL·E 2 coming out (and yes, I saw the avocado chair :P), and wanted to try it out. However, I found DALL·E mini (that's how Craiyon was colled back then), which was able to generate relatively good images for free. That was... March? In October, I found NightCafé and Stable Diffusion (my computer's not strong enough to run it locally), and I thought it was amazing. With just a few words, I was able to create incredible images. NightCafé also had DALL·E 2, so I finally got to test it lol. Their other three models by then were "Style Transfer" (literally does what it says), Artistic and Coherent (VQGAN-CLIP and CLIP-guided Diffusion, if I'm not mistaken), but Coherent was my favourite of them all. In fact, despite it's age, it still generates stunning images that could beat DALL·E 3 in terms of creativity (not realism tho). As time passed, better algorithms appeared (SDXL, DALL·E 3...), and they made better images every time. I've tried other generators and webs too, like Leonardo and Playground, and I continue to experiment with whatever I find. 🎨

I haven't mentioned Midjourney before because the only times I have been able to try it were with the free trials, so that's not enough to include them up there.

As for the future of this blog, I plan to share more of my experiences, tips, and of course, my artworks. I’m also looking forward to learning from all of you. So let’s make this a two-way street, shall we? 😉
